Setting a bunch of world speed records is much cooler when you're wearing Chuck Taylor's.

The car's not orange: It was "Poppy" red.

Normally, that smarty pants language would trump me. But, I now pull out my Ace: I drove the car in question. It looked red to me when I drove it.

So let's call it reddish-orange.

I know you were/are writing a book about the aero cars and assumed you'd seen it in person, but that you got to drive it is just unfair. Seriously.
In every pic I've seen of that car (and I stared at a bunch for as I've been working on an illustration it) it couldn't look more orange.

Depends on the light. Look at the color on the Mopar Action cover. Where I was driving.
Sorry, can't help just throwing that in constantly.
